Are you a travel agency?

No. I am an independent local driver. You communicate directly with me about your route and trip, and you book hotels and activities yourself or with my suggestions.

Roads in Sulawesi can be narrow, winding and busy with motorbikes and trucks, and distances are long. A local driver handles navigation, road conditions and timing so you can focus on the trip.

Can I plan my own itinerary?

Yes. Send your destinations and dates and we will build the most practical driving plan together. The sample itineraries above are only a starting point.

Can you drive long distances, for example Makassar to Tana Toraja or Tentena?

Yes. Long overland routes are possible depending on dates, vehicle and availability. Longer routes are often split over more than one day for comfort.

How many passengers can travel?

The Innova suits small groups of up to about 5 passengers. The HiAce can carry larger groups of up to about 10. Please mention your luggage when you ask.

What languages do you speak?

Airport to City Center

Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport (UPG) is located about 20 km from the center of Makassar. Travel time to most hotels in the city center (Losari Beach area, Panakkukang, or Pettarani) is usually 30 to 60 minutes, depending on traffic.

If you are arriving late at night, I can still pick you up. Just send me your flight details in advance.

Airport to Toraja or Bira

Many guests arrive in Makassar and want to go straight to Tana Toraja or Tanjung Bira. This is a great way to save time. I will meet you at the airport and we will start the overland journey directly. For Toraja, we usually stop for lunch and arrive in the evening. For Bira, the drive is shorter and more relaxed.

What if my flight is delayed?

No problem. I track flight arrivals and will be there when you land, even if you are delayed. Just send me your flight number when you book.

How do I recognize my driver?

I will be waiting in the arrivals hall with a sign with your name on it. I also send you my photo and the car details before you arrive.

Can you drop me at a different hotel than I booked?

Yes. Just let me know the correct hotel name and address before you arrive.

Is there a charge for waiting time?

I include 60 minutes of free waiting time after your flight lands. Additional waiting time may incur a small fee.
